Steel coil packaging can make the steel coils in storage and transport from damage, but also makes the product cost is increased. Therefore, the type of packaging technology can reduce cost, is under the conditions of market economy each manufacturer should concern and research problems.
3.1 packaging types
There are two kinds of steel coils packaging process: one is the simple packaging. Steel coil winding after completion of the outer circle tied 1 ~ 3 steel belt. This technique is suitable for hot-rolled coil, cold hard roll short-distance transportation and transportation conditions and good steel coil, 2 is fine packing. According to the packing requirements of different packaging material in the outer surface of the coil and finalize the design, this process is tied cold especially silicon board, etc.
3.2 packaging materials
Packaging materials, plastic bags, paper have rust inside, outside the iron sheet, paper Angle, the paper Angle, the guard board, iron protect horn, iron protect horn, bound with chains with pad, etc, as shown in figure 1. All kinds of packaging material role is as follows:
Paper: (1) the antirust onto outer surface of steel coils, prevent coil rust.

(4) thick plastic: reduce the hoisting impact of steel coils.
(5) inside and outside iron protect horn, protect the damage of steel coils.
(6) inside and outside paper Angle: protection against rust paper bags, and avoid being steel roll edge scratches.
(7) bundle bring mat: mainly used in pneumatic lock type after machine, fixed connector, prevent local stress.
(8) weeks to bundle bring: usually for three, two ways for fixed by the iron protect horn, a fixed rolls for intermediate with eye bundle.
(9) : 4 volumes with eye bundle word or 6, with real fixed eye bundle of steel coils.
